Today I am sharing a delicious avocado-based green smoothie recipe.

How do you make this at home?

INGREDIENTS

-1 cup almond milk (235ml)
-1/3 avocado (40-50g)
-1/3 cup frozen blueberries (40-50g)
-1/2 banana (50g)
-1 1/2 cup kale (40-50g)
-1 tsp vanilla (5ml)
-1 medjool date, pitted (~6g) (optional)

STEPS

1.prepare all ingredients and blender
2.wash berries and kale thoroughly
3.add almond milk, kale and avocado to blender, blend on high for 30 seconds
4.add blueberries, banana, vanilla, medjool date to blender, blend on high for 30-45 seconds
5.enjoy now or store in airtight container in fridge and consume within 2-3 days

(makes 1-2 servings)

OPTIONAL SWAPS
- replace almond for coconut or cashew milk
- add a scoop of vegan protein for additional nutrient boost
- replace banana with equal amount of frozen cauliflower + dash of stevia for lower carb alternative
- add 1/2 tbsp (7.5ml) cacao powder for chocolatey taste and antioxidant bomb
